What’s rad is that, less than three years ago, I couldn’t run thirty seconds without having to stop; now I can run almost 10KM. Having actively hated my body, it’s cool how I’ve turned my attitude around to love it and take care of it. I don’t use this word often, but I’m fuckin’ proud of myself for that. :)

Just had an awesome workout, as awkwardly / dorkily represented in these two photos:


I did..
- 7 minute gradual walk-to-sprint warm up
- 3 X 16 squats with tricep extensions on a BOSU
- 3 X 16 lunges with bicep curls
- 2 X 20 dead-lift to upright row on BOSU with 8KG kettlebell
- 2 X 22 chest fly on fitness ball
- 2 X 16 side-plank push ups
- 2 X 24 Russian twist with medicine ball (feet off the floor!)
- 2 X 24 ‘Dead Bug’ with medicine ball
- 40 minute interval cycle (while reading Oscar Wilde..)
All compound exercises were supersets with minimal rest in between. AWESOME.
Just made myself lunch:

1/2 baked sweet potato, reduced-fat piri-piri houmous & salad with spinach, cucumber, carrot, orange pepper, cherry tomatoes and chopped strawberries, topped with pumpkin seeds, crispy seaweed and balsamic vinegar.

Today I feel “tiny” and “tight”… words that I never thought were possible for my body, genetics, or culture. I now know it’s all more than possible.
Ultimately, it comes down to what I see and what I feel… someone may disagree with my perception and that is okay. What matters is how I feel and today I feel good : )
