What a sad day. I used to collect pictures of Amy Winehouse and stick them in a scrapbook, no kidding. I’d spend hours watching live performances on YouTube, scrape my hair up in a beehive and blast ‘Frank’ & ‘Back To Black’ on repeat. It’s such a strange feeling, knowing that someone who used to be your musical hero isn’t alive anymore.
May she rest in peace, and live through music. X

This really fucking winds me up. If 20,000 people are paying a week’s wages to come and see your show, you stay sober enough to deliver the performance they deserve. Hell, if twelve people are paying £4 to see your band in a youth centre, you sing better than this. There are absolutely no excuses for a vocal like that; sure, drug addiction is a complex state, but complexities get put aside when you have a set to perform.
There are so many musicians and singers who are just as - if not more - talented than this washed up broad, and would work hard and deliver when given the opportunities that she has. I’m even more curious to hear her third album now.
